Random blog posts about research in political communication, how people learn or don't learn from the media, why it all matters -- plus other stuff that interests me. It's my blog, after all. I can do what I want.

Bill Nye is Right
Bill Nye the Science Guy is right about science, and right about creationism. It's ain't science.
But he is wrong about this: "My concern is you don’t want people growing up not believing in radioactivity, not believing in geology and deep time."
People who do not believe deep time is compatible with the Genesis account aren't reading the Genesis account closely. Genesis 1:1 says "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." That is not part of the creative days. It is indeterminate in time. Genesis 2:4 refers to all creative days as one day, so creative days are obviously not 24 hour days. If your going to attack creation, get creation right.
